The Parish Council urgently needs to co-opt five new Parish Councillors

The Parish Council still needs to co-opt up to a further six Parish Councillors.

Stocksfield is a lovely place to live, and our quality of life is well worth safeguarding.  As more responsibilities are transferred to Parish Councils from our cash-strapped County Council, and in the context of deregulated national planning policies, the need for a strong, active, well-informed and representative Parish Council has never been greater.

If you are interested in being a Parish Councillor, please contact the Parish Clerk for information. Alternatively, if you would like an informal discussion about the role of Parish Councillors, please telephone the Chairman, Maggi Hunt, on 842674.

The next meeting of the Parish Council is on 2nd September in the Community Centre at 7.30 p.m. Stocksfield residents are welcome to attend any Parish Council meeting. There is always an opportunity to raise concerns at the meetings, or just come along and listen to what we do.

Your Parish Council needs you!

For details of the declarations of interests of each individual parish councillor, please see Northumberland County Council's website by clicking here.
