After almost twelve years as a parish councillor, and nearly eleven as Chair, Maggi Hunt has decided to stand down from the Parish Council with immediate effect.

At the Council's meeting on 11 May, Maggi undertook her last duty - to oversee the election of a new Chair. The Council's Vice Chair, Paul Vickers, thanked Maggi for her commitment to Stocksfield since July 2010 and, in particular, for her work as Chair. On behalf of the other councillors, Paul presented Maggi with a bouquet of flowers and a gift token as recognition of her contribution to the work of the Council over many years.

Maggi has been succeeded as Chair by John Harrison.

As a result, there is a vacancy for a parish councillor and, in accordance with the relevant legislation, the Council has published the following notice of a vacancy - please click here.
