Like many other councils, and in line with Northumberland County Council, the Parish Council declared a Climate Change Emergency at its most recent meeting.
Additionally, one of our new councillors, Colin Chance, has been appointed as the Climate Change Emergency Councillor. Colin will chair a new Climate Change Emergency Advisory Group which has been established. Climate Change will also be central to the decision making of the Council and to all its policies.
As the Group develops, further information will be made available and there will be opportunities for residents to get involved, whether because they have specialist knowledge of the matter or simply a desire to make sure we leave the planet in a better place for our children. So please keep an eye on the Council’s website or Facebook page.
