A further four defibrillators have been installed today: on the A695 at Branch End Play Area; at Birkdene (close to and opposite the junction with Welton Close); at New Ridley Road opposite Meadowfield Road; and on the B6309 at Hindley. It will take a few days for them to be activated on the ambulance service systems.

Some of the Council's new defibrillator cabinets have been installed at locations around Stocksfield - at Broomley, Hindley and Ridley Mill. The recent bad weather has delayed new power supplies to the cabinets but they should become operational within the next few weeks.

The Parish Council has made awards of £8,000 in total from its Coronavirus Community Fund to local groups and organisations. The fund remains open for new new applications which will be individually assessed as they are received. Potential applicants are encouraged to apply for funding of up to £2,000 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Council is delighted that the first of the new defibrillators has been installed at the Community Centre using the newer style of cabinet. It will take a few days for it to be updated on the Ambulance Service's computer system but it be operational very soon.
