Like many other councils, and in line with Northumberland County Council, the Parish Council declared a Climate Change Emergency at its most recent meeting.

At its annual meeting on 19 May 2021 Maggi Hunt was re-elected as Chair of the Council and Paul Vickers was re-elected as Vice Chair.

Two of the Council's long standing councillors, Dennis Parke and Judith Furniss, recently stood down from the Council at the end of their term of office. At the meeting of the Council on 4 May, Maggi Hunt, the Council's Chair, praised their contributions to the work of the Council and their commitment to the residents of Stocksfield.
