Broomley & Stocksfield Parish Council:
The Clerk, Margaret Williams, leaves the Parish Council Office on 29th August.
A new Clerk will be appointed shortly, but in the meantime queries can be sent to the Parish Council website and will be responded to.
Events to look out for in the coming weeks and months:
Stocksfield Fun Run This year, the Stocksfield family fun run will take place on Sunday 14th September, at the sports field, starting at 2pm.
A Peace Garden has been constructed to commemorate the centenary of the First World War and there will be a short dedication service on Saturday 20th September at 11.30 at Branch End Play Area followed by refreshments at the Baptist Church Hall. Everyone is invited to attend.

The Parish Council is arranging a meeting for residents to find out more about setting up local neighbourhood watch schemes

World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Cancer Macmillan – Friday 26th September – Community Centre – 9.00 a.m. – Noon
Grand Jumble Sale in aid of Bywell Church Funds – Saturday 27th September – 2 p.m. Community Centre
Charity Christmas Card sale Saturday 8th November from 10-12 noon, in the Community Centre
Churches Together will be holding their annual Charity Christmas Card sale, with stocking filler and small gift stalls. Refreshments available.
Christmas Fair in aid of Bywell Church Funds – Saturday 6th December – St John’s Church, Hall
THE BIG SING – 7th December, 2.30 p.m. Community Centre.
The 'The Big Sing' is an opportunity for all to enjoy an afternoon of friendship and community carol singing, followed by seasonal refreshment. All proceeds go to Christian Aid.
